In this artwork, I'm figuring that the artist was trying to point out that he/she loves nature. Reason being is because I see tree's, a sun, nature looking colors, a fish, grass, etc. There is a heart in the sky which makes me think that this artist is saying that he/she loves nature. The "map of the mind" tells me that he/she is adventurous and probably outgoing

This is an image of Hawaii. Hawaii is a ver nice, relaxing place with awsome water and sand. It is known to be the most popular get-a-way place for vacations with your mate. I would like to visit this place because its always nice outside and I've never been before. Sometimes when/if I need a break for something or someone, I could always have a nice time on this Island.

The landscape was very eye catching to me and stood out the most out of the landscapes that I viewed. In this landscape there lived a young girl who was parentless. This landscape is something that she created, not painting wise, but in reality. This was her home and everything that lived in this water was her friends. Sometimes she'll see by passers and they'll look at her out of curiosity, but she didn't mind. All of the flowers were something that she planted and stones that she gathered up. She kept the water clean as if someone would do their hair. For food she would catch some fish that she didn't recognise, cook and eat them. This is the everyday story of a young nature girl.

Al Hansen was born in Richmond Hill, Borough of Queens, New York City in 1927. As an early member of the Fluxus Art Group his pieces were performed at several early international Fluxus Festivals. His pioneering work in the fields of "performance art" and "Happenings" is well documented. In 1965 he wrote the seminal performance art book, "A Primer of Happenings and Time Space Art" published by Something Else Press. As an habitué of Andy Warhol's Factory, he was both influenced by and influenced the 1960's pop art movement. In addition to Performance Art, he created thousands of collages mainly based around the image of the Venus Figure. Eternally fascinated by the Venus of Willendorf, he strove to continue the connection between those first primal art instincts and his own body of work.

Dadaism or Dada is a post-World War I cultural movement in visual art as well as literature (mainly poetry), theatre and graphic design. The movement was, among other things, a protest against the barbarism of the War and what Dadaists believed was an oppressive intellectual rigidity in both art and everyday society; its works were characterized by a deliberate irrationality and the rejection of the prevailing standards of art.

I chose this art to fall under dada art because in reality, it is not really "art". It looks like a normal picture with other magazine pictures pasted on there. Today we would sort of call that abstract work. So since its not really art, it would fall under dada art.

Creating my "real nobody" portrait wasn't hard for me at all. It was not hard because I had already had experience in Art in elementary school. The first time of me doing a portrait was a self portrait which was challenging for me to do at first, but with a little practice, it got easier. So when the time came around to do a real nobody portrait, it was a piece of cake. Once I got in the zone, I was on a roll. When I had to paint the portrait though, it was a bit challenging. Reason being is because I didn't know what color scheme was a first. But overall, after I found out all I needed to know, it was easy for me and I really enjoyed this project.

Ok to start off with, if you look closely at this painting you will see a lady on her knees who has a little birdy in her arm and feeding it. By paying attention to the colors in this painting, I would predict that the artist was in an ok if not good mood. This painting is colorful and it seems as if the artist painted this to show the love for birds.

The is a portrait by Mary Trenkle of a baby girl. She liked painting babies because she said it brings out the softness and suppleness of the skin tones without casting harsh shadows. Looking at this portrait, I could infer that some of SPRITE is being used. I'm going to try to comment on each of the sprite categories for this artwork. Social is probably being used in this portrait. Social could be possible because it seems as if the baby is at the beach and at the beach lots of talking and meeting new people is going on. Technology because at the beach, there is this little shower outside where you press a button and the water comes on. Economy because of the people whose at the beach buying up things.

Unfortunately, I wasnt able to find a image that Carrie Mae Weems created that I could relate to. However, her images didn't impress me because there were numerous naked pictures that disgusted me entirely. I had to leave that page. Carrie is a different kind of Artist who I feel that I'm not interested in. I'm unable to relate to any of the photos that I've seen. Reason being is because they we all of women with their breasts out and about, like they do not care at all of exposing their self. This is a disgust to me, Im sorry...

I am nostalgic for this roller skate and the skating rink because they both bring back good memories and still will bring many more in the future. Me and my family would go to the skating rink and have a fantastic time there. We always go to the Martin Luther King Jr. Skating Rink around late Janurary. My brother, sister, cousins and I would watch skating movies the night before we go to the skating rink so that we could learn some moves. We watch movies like Roll Bounce & Atl. The best memory that I've experienced at the skating rink was when I was trying to do a move from Roll Bounce and created a pile up. Also, when I finally learned to skate backwards. This is why I'm nostalgic for roller skating.

This artist would be considered postmodern because his artwork involves things that is in today. Another reason why Tom Friedman would be considered a postmodern artist is because his sculptures are made up of everyday objects. Tom has artwork that is made out of pencils and only pencils. He also have an artwork made of cigarette butts. This guy is awsome with his artwork. By far one of the best.

This wonderful piece of art was created by an artist who's name is Tom Friedman. He created this in 1996 and it is untitled, but in parentheses it reads (Polystyrene Tower. This guy was born1965 in St. Louis, Missouri. Friedman is still alive today. I chose this artwork because it looked interesting. This piece of art looks as if something was pouring out of another something, but no one knows where its coming from. Its pretty interesting

This stereotype is about emo/gothic people. It says that this guy likes to dress as an emo boy & make fun of emo's by acting out the stereotype. In my perspective, this artwork is saying that all emo's/ goth's  are depressed. Notice how they have the word depressed in parentheses. I think they put it like that to say like emo's don't even know what depress means because some of them are cold blooded. This would be a stereotype because it seem as if all emo's are depressed, but little did we know they aren't.

Ms. Coffee, I couldn't find a postmodern piece of artwork. I really didn't understand the concepts of the postmodern visual strategies that were discussed in class because I wasn't there. With the websites that you gave us on the back of the blog assignments, I still couldn't seem to find what was instructed to find because I don't know how to use those websites. I couldn't even find nothing on Google..I know that its go to be something out there about postmodern strategies, but I just couldn't find anything.

This past quater I really learned more about art. I learned about and now understand the elements of art and principles of design. The seven elements are line, color, texture, space, form, and shape. The principles of design balance, rhythm, empahsis, unity, movement, pattern, and variety. The best part of being in art class is the class projects. The best project was the accordin book. Art class at Westinghouse is much harder than the art class in grammer school. I didn't really like the reading assignments that were given, but I guess it's going to "better" us.

In the process of the Elements and Principles Accordion book project, I have learned and understood the elements and principles better. I also now know how to create an accordion book. The most enjoyable and interesting part of this project was when we was able to be creative and imaginative. Even though the books came out very nice, there still were some difficulties. The most challegeing part was making the poem and trying to get all of the elements & principles in the book. Most of them came naturally. If I was to make another book, I would make the emphasis really pop out. Also, I would use more brighter colors. Other than that I feel that my book was well done.
